Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Safeguarding Team in Manchester. The role involves managing a caseload of 10-12 families, with a supportive network of managers and social workers.

An induction and ongoing training are provided to help you reach your full potential. Responsibilities include liaising with professionals, applying child protection legislation, and attending court as needed.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registered.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Fully UK licensed driver.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with other professionals as part of safeguarding work.
• Apply knowledge of relevant legislation in practice.
• Work with children on child protection registers, looked after children and children in need.
• Attend court proceedings as required.
• Engage with Public Law Outline (PLO).
• Prepare and participate in single assessments.
• Chair child protection conferences and meetings.
• Contribute to case conferences and multidisciplinary discussions.
