Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for its client’s Older People & Learning Disabilities Team in Sefton. The role is full-time with a pay rate of £36.79 per hour, focusing on high-quality reviews and reassessments as part of a targeted cost-saving project.

Responsibilities include reviewing care packages, analyzing needs and risks, and recommending effective arrangements while safeguarding rights and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Social Worker - Older People & Learning Disabilities for its client’s Older People & LD Team based in Sefton. This is a full-time agency role offering £36.79 per hour, focused on delivering high-quality reviews and reassessments as part of a targeted cost-saving project.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

• Review complex and high-cost care packages to establish whether the existing level and type of support remain appropriate.
• Analyse the relationship between assessed needs, identified risks, desired outcomes and the services being commissioned.
• Examine whether the current package is being fully utilised and remains effective.
• Consider whether alternative arrangements could meet the person's eligible needs appropriately.
• Identify opportunities for more effective or sustainable care arrangements without compromising the person's safety, wellbeing or statutory rights.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations regarding continuation, amendment or replacement of care packages.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
