Job summary

Liquid Personnel is seeking a qualified Social Worker in Dudley to join the Referral and Assessment Team. You will manage referrals, conduct initial assessments, and ensure protection and support for children and families.

Responsibilities include home visits, inter-agency liaison, and reporting with timely actions. Registration with Social Work England, UK work eligibility, and a valid UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration required.
• Degree level in Social Work or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

Our client in Dudley is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their dynamic Referral and Assessment Team. You'll manage referrals, conduct assessments, and ensure children and families receive effective support and protection.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Receive and screen referrals from professionals, families, or the public.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine risk levels and service eligibility.
• Make decisions on whether cases require further intervention under Section 17 (Child in Need) or Section 47 (Child Protection).
• Undertake home visits and interviews with children and families.
• Liaise with police, schools, health services, and other agencies to gather information.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for further action.
• Escalate cases to child protection teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely responses to referrals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
