Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Social Worker for the Older Adults team. You will be innovative, person-centred and committed to strengths-based practice, assessing needs and coordinating support with a planned pathway to improve outcomes.

You will join a supportive team with training opportunities, a hybrid working model, and ongoing professional development. The role requires SWE registration and a Social Work qualification; travel across Hampshire is required.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and SWE registration are required.
• Demonstrated strengths-based approach in recent practice.
• Solid understanding of social work issues, legal frameworks and duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and available support.
• Manage a complex caseload and provide supervision and advisory support to Case Workers.
• Triaging safeguarding referrals and making informed decisions.
