Job summary

Hampshire County Council’s Older Adults Team is seeking a qualified Social Worker who is innovative, person-centred and committed to strengths-based practice. You’ll join a supportive team with opportunities for training and development.

You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, manage a complex caseload, supervise others, and triage safeguarding referrals. Starting salary for NQSWs is £36,369 per year, plus a market supplement of £3,000 pro-rata for Senior Social Workers.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and SWE registration.
• Understanding of strengths-based approach.
• Familiarity with social work issues, legal frameworks, and statutory duties.
• Commitment to demonstrating values: compassion, empathy and respect.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and available support.
• Manage a complex caseload and provide supervision/advice on complex cases.
• Triaged safeguarding referrals and make informed decisions.
