Job summary

Community Care Live is seeking a locum Looked After Children Social Worker to join a flexible hybrid team. You will manage Looked After Children caseloads, complete statutory visits, assessments and care planning, and work closely with families, foster carers and partners to secure positive outcomes.

The role offers an ongoing contract with extension potential, a supportive management team and a child-focused service that values relationship-based social work and high-quality practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience within a Looked After Children or Children in Care team.
• Experience completing assessments and care planning for children in care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring needs are central to planning and decision-making.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments and care planning in line with legislative requirements.
• Build effective relationships with children, families, foster carers and partner agencies.
• Prepare reports and contribute to reviews and court proceedings where required.
