Job summary

Liquid Personnel Limited is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker for the Looked After Children team in Bury. You will manage a caseload and develop tailored care plans to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of looked-after children.

Responsibilities include regular statutory visits, collaboration with families and professionals, and presenting reports for reviews. DBS and compliance support are provided; Pay schemes help you get paid promptly.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration is required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Post-qualified experience in social care preferred.
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Looked After Children team, based in Bury.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Manage a caseload of children who are in the care of the local authority.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Ensure children’s placements (foster care, residential care, kinship care) are safe, stable, and supportive.
• Promote the child’s health, education, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring access to appropriate services.
• Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
• Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
• Work closely with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
• Support children through transitions, including reunification with family, adoption, or leaving care.
• Advocate for the child’s voice to be heard in all aspects of planning and decision‑making.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
