Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a permanent Social Worker to join a warm team focused on outcomes for people with Care Act eligibility in Charnwood.

You will work with adults with learning disabilities and autism, delivering assessments, safeguarding, and multi-agency care planning, in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Knowledge of Care Act and social care legislation.
• Experience in assessment, risk management and safeguarding.
• Court work experience and multi-agency collaboration.
• Experience with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy and time management.
• Full UK driving licence or access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outcomes for Care Act eligible individuals using the department's operating model.
• Support learning disability and autism clients with independence.
• Collaborate within a small, supportive team and share practice.
• Manage assessments, safeguarding, and multi-agency processes.
