Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking three experienced Social Workers to join the Community Learning Disabilities Team in Walsall. You will support adults with learning disabilities to achieve positive outcomes, undertaking assessments, care planning, and safeguarding duties.

The role requires recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England, with a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification required.
• Active registration with Social Work England is essential.
• Three years' post-qualification experience in adult social care.

Responsibilities

• Undertake strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014.
• Complete mental capacity assessments in line with the MCA.
• Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans.
• Collaborate with health colleagues, care providers, families and partners.
• Lead safeguarding enquiries and contribute to positive risk management.
• Support adults with learning disabilities to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Maintain high-quality recording and evidence-based practice.
