Change Grow Live invites applications for a Social Worker Lead in Kirklees, with a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The post focuses on safeguarding, family-focused practice and partnership working within an adult drug and alcohol treatment setting.

You will join an established team under the Senior Social Worker, with opportunities for supervision, peer support and professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Completion of ASYE.
• Experience with children, families and/or adults with complex needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice.
• Understanding impact of substance use on families.
• Experience working with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist safeguarding and risk management advice.
• Support referrals, care planning and safeguarding actions.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and forums.
• Support workforce development around safeguarding and family-focused practice.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement and strategic priorities.
• Build relationships across social care, health, education and criminal justice partners.
