Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Social Worker to join Luton Council's Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed Social Worker with experience supporting children in care, promoting positive outcomes and ensuring children receive the support and protection they need.

Your daily responsibilities will include managing a caseload of Looked After Children, undertaking assessments and developing care plans, conducting statutory

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Looked After Children and children in care.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a UK Local Authority.
• Experience within children's statutory services.
• Strong assessment, care planning and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children with welfare and safety as priority.
• Undertake assessments and develop care plans to meet individual needs.
• Conduct statutory visits and complete reviews per legislation.
• Collaborate with foster carers, families, IROs and other professionals.
• Support permanence planning and timely decision-making for children.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate case records per statutory guidance.
• Promote the voice and wishes of children and young people in care.
• Work effectively with children, families and multi-agency professionals.

• Strong assessment, care planning and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children, families and multi-agency professionals.
