What you will do:

  1. Undertake statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and related legislation, ensuring compliance and best practices are met.
  2. Complete child protection assessments and manage child protection cases, including participation in court proceedings.
  3. Develop and implement child-centred care and protection plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
  4. Work directly with children, young people, and their families to promote positive outcomes and safeguard against harm.
  5. Participate in multi-agency meetings such as child protection conferences, looked after reviews, and core group meetings to ensure coordinated care.
  6. Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and comprehensive case records in line with legislative and procedural requirements.
  7. Ensure practice is in accordance with national and local policies, procedures, and standards, staying abreast of changes and updates.
  8. Engage in supervision and reflective practice to support ongoing professional development and maintain high standards of practice.
