Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join the Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate in Morpeth. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and manage your own caseload while working with partners to support adults 18+ with physical or mental health needs.

The role offers regular supervision and opportunities for professional development, including ASYE. Emphasis on care quality, safeguarding, and statutory duties with a supportive team and flexible working

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and registered with Social Work England.
• Successfully completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence and be able to use a car for work.

About the role

You'll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority's statutory duties is essential.
