Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a qualified social worker to join our Adult Early Help Team in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This full-time, permanent role focuses on prevention, wellbeing, and early intervention to help adults access the right support.

You will triage referrals, support multi-disciplinary colleagues, develop community action plans, and work with unpaid carers. Training, development opportunities, and a wellbeing package accompany a comprehensive benefits scheme

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England Registration.
• Experience in adult social care or prevention/early intervention.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage referrals for adult early help and ensure timely responses.
• Support colleagues in operating the front-door duty function.
• Develop community action plans and work with unpaid carers.
• Contribute to safeguarding referrals and assess risks to vulnerable adults.
• Apply the Mental Capacity Act principles and use strengths-based approaches.
• Collaborate with Adult Social Care, Health services and Prevention & Intervention teams.
• Ensure timely signposting to preventative and community services.
• Support the Care Act aim to prevent, reduce and delay care needs.
