Adult Social Worker - Sutton Council

Sutton Council is recruiting for an Adult Social Worker.

As a Social Worker within the General Duty Team, you will be responsible for triaging referrals received through the Contact Centre. You should respond in a person-centred manner, using a prevention and strength-based approach, working proactively to identify individuals who may be at risk of developing social care needs in the future.

You will work with health partners, community groups, service users, and residents to facilitate co-production. Social Workers will collaborate with staff in the Locality Teams who provide longer-term support to residents.

Requirements include:

• Registration with Social Work England
• A degree in Social Care or a related field
• Strong knowledge of social care legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
