Manage complex child protection, long-term, and care proceedings cases, ensuring children’s safety remains paramount.
Complete a range of statutory assessments including Parenting Assessments, SGO, Section 7 and 37 Reports, and Permanency Reports.
Represent the local authority at court, often acting as lead witness even in the absence of a Team Manager.
Apply advanced knowledge of child protection legislation and policy to all areas of practice.
Use tools such as Liquid Logic, Signs of Safety, and restorative practice models effectively in case planning and interventions.
Participate in reflective supervision while demonstrating independence in managing a high and complex caseload.
Escalate safeguarding concerns swiftly and appropriately to maintain high standards of practice and risk management.
Social Work Qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in local authority statutory services.
Proven experience in long-term fieldwork and child protection teams.
Strong court experience, with ability to lead on cases and produce high-quality written evidence.
Working knowledge of Liquid Logic case management system and evidence-based practice tools.
