We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Mansfield. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity where you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding children and young people, working at the frontline of referrals and early intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Referrals: Receive, screen, and analyse referrals regarding children at potential risk of harm.

Threshold Decision-Making: Apply local and national guidance to determine the appropriate level of intervention.

Multi-Agency Strategy Discussions: Participate in collaborative meetings to assess risk and plan next steps in complex safeguarding cases.

Safeguarding Actions: Initiate immediate protective actions where necessary and coordinate with internal and external teams for case progression.

Assessment Transfer: Prepare clear documentation for smooth transition to locality or specialist social work teams.

Case Recording: Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.

Experience in child protection, initial assessments, or MASH settings.

Strong knowledge of threshold criteria, safeguarding frameworks, and multi-agency processes.

Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining professional integrity and child-centred practice.
