Qualified Social Worker – Adults Safeguarding Practice Lead in Manchester UK earning £40 Hourly. Ongoing.

What you will do:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex safeguarding cases, ensuring that cases progress smoothly and achieve timely outcomes.
  • Investigate allegations and concerns about individuals in positions of trust who might pose risks to adults with care needs, following MCC’s Position of Trust policy.
  • Work in partnership with service providers and partner agencies to ensure timely and appropriate referrals to the DBS and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent Adult Social Care and support the Manchester Safeguarding Partnership’s work, collaborating closely with children’s services and the Local Authority Designated Officer.
  • Coordinate responses for MARAC, MATAC, and assist with the adult safeguarding framework across Adult Social Care.
  • Lead coordination and attend MAPPA, PREVENT, and other related meetings to ensure comprehensive safeguarding approaches.
  • Offer professional advice and support, maintaining responsibility for data collection and storage of confidential information.
  • Join Police-led multi-agency operational meetings and work closely with adult safeguarding team managers to ensure service delivery.
