You will be an integral part of the Adult Social Care department, where you will manage a diverse caseload and contribute significantly to the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs. What you will do:

• Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied adult social work caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support.
• Prepare detailed reports and statements, representing the department at judicial hearings and advocating for clients.
• Engage directly with service users, carers, and families, conducting assessments and designing individual support plans in collaboration with health professionals and advocates.
• Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely completion and clear communication with relevant parties.
• Participate in or lead multidisciplinary forums and act as a Chair when necessary, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
• Adhere to legislative frameworks, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, applying professional judgment and critical reflection to inform decisions.

Qualification:

• Dip SW, BA or MA Social Work or equivalent / or due to receive qualification within next 5 months following application.
• Social Work England registered or due to receive registration within the next 5 months following application.
