Job summary

Herefordshire Council, Herefordshire Community Wellbeing is seeking a dynamic Social Worker to deliver adult social care with a strengths-based approach. You will undertake Care Act Assessments, person-centred support planning, and Mental Capacity Assessments while engaging with diverse adult populations in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

We're looking for someone who
  • Is a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holds a qualifying degree.
  • Has a deep understanding of current legislation and its real‑world impact.
  • Possesses the drive to potentially pursue qualifications in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Collaborates effectively with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
  • Holds a full, clean driving license and is ready to explore our vibrant county
We're looking for an advocate with
  • A Social Work England registration and a relevant qualification.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation and guidance.
  • A track record of effective, person‑centred assessment and care management.
  • The drive to develop into a Best Interest Assessor or Approved Mental Health Professional.
