Birmingham Children’s Trust Limited is recruiting a Social Work Practice Supervisor to support Lead Practitioners and Team Managers in delivering high-quality safeguarding and welfare assessments for children and families in Birmingham.

The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham, requiring registration with Social Work England and a degree in Social Work; you will chair multi-agency meetings, supervise staff, and help develop family support plans while upholding our commitment to equality and

Qualifications

• A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• Extensive experience working with vulnerable children and families.
• Experience of Supervising others.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and supervisory skills.
• A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Providing reflective supervision and casework oversight.
• Supporting the development and delivery of multi-agency Family Help plans.
• Chairing multi-agency meetings, quality assure and authorise assessments and reports.
• Promoting the voice of the child and ensure their views shape their care.
• Championing our practice model ‘Connections Count’ and uphold our values of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
