Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Practice Education & ASYE Coordinator to lead the education and support of social work students and NQSWs within Children’s Integrated Services. You will coordinate placements, mentor Practice Educators, and oversee the ASYE programme ensuring high standards of practice and continuous improvement.

The role requires a recognised Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and a Practice Education qualification.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Social Work (e.g., Degree, PGDip, MA/MSc).
• Registration with a professional body, such as Social Work England.
• Practice Education Qualification (e.g., Stage 2 or equivalent).
• Experience coordinating placements and mentoring students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate placements for social work students and newly qualified social workers.
• Mentor Practice Educators and manage the ASYE programme.
• Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Lead on quality assurance and continuous improvement in professional practice.
