Job summary
Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Newly Qualified Social Worker to join the ASYE programme in the Swindon area. You will be supported from day one by two managers, with dedicated mentoring and case supervision within the Family Safeguarding Team.
The role emphasizes learning, supervision and developing practice to build confidence while contributing to high-quality safeguarding for children and families. Registration with Social Work England is required.
Qualifications
- Registration with Social Work England is required before you begin.
- Experience through placements in statutory children's social work setting or relevant work with children and families.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
- Fluent in English language.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with an experienced Social Worker in the Family Safeguarding Team.
- Receive dedicated development, mentoring and support during the ASYE.
- Carry cases assigned by host social work team under supervision.
- Attend regular supervision and professional development as part of the ASYE.
