Do you have a passion for working with children? We have a rare and exciting opportunity as a Social Work Assistant in either the Children's Duty & Assessment Team or Safeguarding & Support Team.

The successful candidate will work alongside a small group of social workers, guided by a principal manager, to deliver support and safeguarding services to children and their birth families. Your role will include assisting with evidence-based assessments and interventions, collaborating with key stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to families, managing risk, improving outcomes and building resilience within their own family networks.

Key responsibilities
  • Work face-to-face with children aged 0‑18.
  • Assist with evidence-based assessments and interventions for children and families.
  • Collaborate with social workers, managers and stakeholders to deliver safeguarding and support services.
  • Support families to assess and manage risk, improve outcomes, and build resilience.
  • Participate in regular supervision and ongoing learning and development.
