NHS Highland is seeking a Social Work Assistant Practitioner to join the Nairn & Ardersier Social Work Team on a permanent, part-time basis (19.5 hours per week) within an integrated adult social care service. The post is based in Nairn and Ardersier and offers an autonomous yet collaborative working environment.

The role includes statutory duties, person-centred assessments, reviews, and MDT collaboration to support people with diverse needs.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Assistant Practitioner to join the Nairn & Ardersier Social Work Team. This permanent, part time position of 19.5 hrs per week, will enable the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a fully integrated adult social care service with NHS Highland.

The post is interesting and varied in nature providing a social work service across Nairn and Ardersier. The Team is busy but supportive and is looking for an individual who can work autonomously but also effectively as part of a team.

Case work will be generic in nature, interesting and varied. Duties include statutory work appropriate to the role, person centred outcome focused assessments, undertaking reviews, dealing with and managing a wide variety of situations and issues, and working effectively in a multi-disciplinary way.

We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner, who has experience of working with people with a wide range of needs, and who is person centred and outcome focused in their approach.
