Job summary

Kent County Council is recruiting a full-time Social Work Assistant for the Disabled Children's Team West 2 within the Strengthening Independence Service. You will support Social Workers and manage an allocated caseload, working with Health, Education and voluntary sector partners.

The post offers a hybrid working model (home and office) with base at Worrall House, Kings Hill, West Malling. There is a structured training programme and regular supervision to develop your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Children's Services would be essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of disabled children and young people aged 0–17.
• Support Social Workers and manage an allocated caseload.
• Collaborate with Health, Education and voluntary sector partners.
• Participate in training and supervision to develop skills.
• Deliver high-quality services to children, young people and families.
