Job summary

PK Education are seeking a qualified Social Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Chesterfield on a supply/temporary basis.

You will deliver engaging Social Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, including Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care as timetabled, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students’ progress within an established department. This role starts ASAP and offers flexible daily rates.

Qualifications

• Qualified social science teacher with secondary school experience.

PK Education are recruiting for a qualified and enthusiastic Social Science Teacher to work within a secondary school in Chesterfield.

We are looking for a confident teacher who can deliver engaging Social Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. Depending on the school timetable, this may include subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care and related Social Science subjects.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly settle into an established department, deliver high-quality lessons and maintain a positive learning environment for students.

The Role:

• Teaching Social Science across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the school curriculum
• Supporting students with their academic progress
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Working collaboratively with the department and wider school team
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Social Science within a secondary school
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be confident delivering engaging lessons to students of varying abilities
• Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check
