Job description

TALA, founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley, is a digital-first, multichannel women’s athleisure brand that has achieved impressive growth in just six years. We recently closed a £5m funding round with top-tier institutional investors, gained global media attention, and are preparing for our next phase of expansion, including opening our first flagship store on Carnaby Street, London.

Reporting to the Head of Social Media, the Social Media Executive will be responsible for managing our organic social media accounts, balancing creativity with commercial objectives, all with a social-first approach. You will join a dynamic team of creative professionals based in our Vauxhall, London office.

Tasks

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Channel Strategy Execution: Managing community engagement and posting schedules on key platforms like Instagram and TikTok, while exploring growth opportunities based on follower, engagement, reach, and conversion metrics. Knowledge of LinkedIn and Pinterest is a plus.
  2. Channel Maintenance: Ensuring the health of our social channels through scheduling, content creation, copywriting, proactive community management, and sourcing user-generated content. Note: Content scheduling is required every weekend.
  3. Trend Monitoring: Keeping up with the latest social media trends and viral content to inform content creation.
  4. Content Creation: Developing high-quality content for Instagram and other channels, from ideation to execution, including filming and editing.
  5. Campaign Support: Assisting with shoot planning, content capture, and rollout strategies; occasional on-set participation as needed.
  6. Reporting & Analysis: Regularly reporting on channel performance using data visualization and analysis tools. Providing support across various social media functions, including content creation, copywriting, and asset editing.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have proven experience managing professional social media accounts.
  • Be able to demonstrate contributions to account growth and aesthetic development.
  • Possess a portfolio of engaging content from concept to production.
  • Be familiar with reporting tools and performance analysis.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating agility and resourcefulness.
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and commercially savvy.
  • Understand and be enthusiastic about the brand and its audience.
  • Be driven, ambitious, solutions-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
