Job description

Social Media Manager

Location: Cardiff (onsite role)
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week, flexitime, no core hours)

About the Role

Our client is hiring a Social Media Manager to lead both paid and organic strategy across all social channels. You’ll be responsible for growing our online presence, driving engagement, and improving conversions through creative, data-led campaigns. The role is hands-on with content, community management and performance analytics. AI and automation knowledge a plus.

This is an onsite role based at our Cardiff HQ – a collaborative, open-plan space designed for focused work and fast-moving ideas.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, run, and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit and others

  • Develop their organic social presence

  • Own the social content calendar and day-to-day execution

  • Create and edit content – visual, video and written

  • Manage online community engagement and brand tone

  • Use analytics to report on performance and improve outcomes

  • Collaborate with SEO, Design, and Paid Media teams to align goals

  • Identify influencer/brand partnership opportunities

  • Lead on social media crisis comms and compliance (GDPR, accessibility, inclusion)

  • Monitor trends and explore AI tools that support campaign delivery

Core Requirements

Must Have:

  • Proven track record in both paid and organic social media

  • Confident with Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads, GA4

  • Strong content creation skills (Canva, Adobe Suite or similar)

  • Experience with segmentation, retargeting and customer journeys

  • Creative, organised, and able to juggle multiple priorities

  • Comfortable mentoring juniors and working cross-functionally

  • Good understanding of inclusive content and accessibility

  • Commitment to being onsite full-time (Cardiff)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in property/home moving markets

  • Digital marketing or social platform certifications (Meta Blueprint, etc.)

  • Influencer marketing or partnership experience

  • Familiarity with AI tools for content, analytics or automation
