Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Executive. Working as part of a busy Customer Marketing team within an e-commerce business that trades on and offline. Our mission is to provide exceptional products and services to our customers while maintaining a strong online presence, creating engaging content across all channels to acquire new and retain existing customers.

Qualities and skills needed

Developing and curating engaging content tailored to various social media platforms, creating and implementing strategies to boost brand awareness and engagement, and managing interactions by responding to comments and messages. Tracking and analysing social media performance, provide insights for improvement, planning and executing campaigns, including paid advertising, and collaborating with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to ensure consistent messaging.

  1. Plan and implement the social media strategy, planning both organic and paid promotions.
  2. Collaborate with the sales team to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition through compelling and strategically crafted media posts.
  3. Manage and monitor social media, providing recommendations and insights on improving and increasing engagement.
  4. Create engaging content which can be used across various marketing channels, including website, blog posts, social media, email, case studies, and press releases.
  5. Monitor and analyse campaign performance, generate reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  6. Collaborate with the broader Marketing and Product teams to create customer-facing video and photographic content.
  7. Work with the Product team to create engagement with products and launch new products on the market.
  8. Collaborate and support in the development of customer retention and lifecycle campaigns.
  9. Any other ad-hoc customer marketing duties as required.
  10. This job is suited to someone with previous experience in a social media role who wants to use their knowledge and skills in this critically important area of the business.
  11. Experience in social media management, preferably in an e-commerce industry.
  12. Experience with paid advertising within LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Facebook Ads.
  13. A positive, confident, and enthusiastic attitude.
  14. A good eye for detail, accurate, and able to demonstrate good organisational skills.
  15. Be able to work to targets and deadlines.
  16. A flexible approach, and the ability to learn on the job.
  17. The ability to work using your own initiative, whilst also being a team player.
  18. Cross-functional teamwork skills.
  19. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  20. Good computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
