Job summary

Sue Ross Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting a Social Media Coordinator on an 18-24 month fixed-term contract in Sheffield. The role offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management and digital marketing for a recent graduate.

Working with the marketing team, you will develop engaging content, capture media, edit across platforms, and help deliver campaigns while adhering to brand and accessibility standards. A degree in Marketing or related subjects is preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate and aspiring marketing professional looking to gain valuable hands‑on experience in content creation, social media management and digital marketing. The role would suit someone with a degree in Marketing, Digital Media, English, Journalism or a related subject who is keen to develop their skills in a creative and fast‑paced environment.

Working closely with the marketing team, you'll play a key role in bringing the organisation's stories, activities and achievements to life through engaging digital content.

The Role

• Developing creative, original and engaging content ideas in response to a variety of briefs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about social media and content creation.

• A degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Desirable Skills

• Experience creating content through university projects, internships, placements or personal channels.
• Knowledge of design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar.
• Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital content.
