Job summary

Direct Commercial Limited is seeking a Social Media Content Executive to own the day-to-day development and delivery of platform-specific content from our Chelmsford offices. You will work with the marketing team to craft stories, write copy, shoot and edit videos, and post engaging content across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience creating content for social platforms
• Hands-on experience shooting and editing video for short- and long-form formats
• Proven published body of work across social advertising, newsletters, podcasts, web and email
• Comfortable creating artwork and visual assets with attention to detail
• Able to turn performance data into recommendations using platform analytics (Meta, TikTok)
• Proficiency with tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong copywriter with adaptable tone for different audiences and platforms
• Able to simplify technical topics into engaging content
• Keen to stay ahead of social trends and formats

Responsibilities

• Own DCL's social media content from idea through publication for each platform
• Generate lots of ideas by spotting opportunities, trends, stories and conversations
• Write compelling copy to explain complex topics like commercial motor insurance
• Create engaging visual content including carousels, Reels and short-form video
• Shoot and edit video content from reactive clips to longer campaigns
• Capture content at offices, events and shoots
• Plan and manage the social content calendar for a steady flow of relevant posts
• Moderate and grow social communities by engaging with comments and messages
• Use analytics to report performance and guide future content
• Stay ahead of platform developments and trends, knowing when to jump on opportunities
• Collaborate with colleagues to turn expert knowledge into accessible content
• Create and maintain design templates and digital assets to preserve brand consistency
• Support the Marketing Manager and wider team with creative and campaign tasks
