Job summary

University of East London is seeking an experienced Social Media Content Manager to lead the creative engine behind its social channels, turning content strategy into compelling daily content.

Working with the Head of Social Media, you will manage end-to-end content from spotting stories to scripting, filming, editing, publishing and analysing performance, with a focus on authentic storytelling and audience engagement on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for an experienced social media creative with strong production skills, strategic awareness, and editorial judgement.
• Ability to engage audiences with authentic storytelling and human detail.
• Comfort coaching and guiding the next generation of content creators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and production of original social content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.
• Manage the social content pipeline: calendars, schedules, publishing workflows and approvals.
• Act as final creative gatekeeper for content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, on-brand and high quality.
• Keep ahead of trends and formats to deliver timely, trend-reactive content for UEL.
