We're on the lookout for a part-time (3 days a week) social media content creator to join our social media marketing team, based in the heart of Notting Hill’s Portobello Road. If you love making great content, working in a fast-paced, exciting environment, and keeping things organised, we’d love to hear from you!

About us:

You’ll be joining our social media team, based in our (newly opened) Notting Hill store!

Y2K Vintage first opened as a vintage pop-up shop in the heart of Brick Lane, Shoreditch in 2023. After the success of our pop-up, we soon became a permanent store, and can proudly say we’re a hub for all things 90s and 2000s! After (almost) two years with our Brick Lane store, we opened our second store in Notting Hill on the iconic Portobello Road in late 2024 (where you will be based)! In 2025 our company saw recognition from Forbes, and we’re now a certified Forbes 30 under 30 company. It’s been a crazy two years for Y2K Vintage, and we’re so excited for what’s to come!

Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced social media content creator to join our marketing team in London. You will be based in Y2K Vintage Notting Hill and will be responsible for the running of the store’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, content creation and ideation for the social media accounts, and the growth of the store’s Instagram and TikTok accounts. You’ll be working independently in store, adjacent to the store team, and reporting to the marketing manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning all content using a weekly content plan
  • Planning Instagram stories and reel covers
  • Ideating and creating engaging content for @y2kvintagenottinghill, ensuring it visually aligns with the store’s brand identity
  • Editing all content using CapCut
  • Posting/ scheduling all content
  • Drive growth across Instagram and TikTok
  • Working with the store team when they need to be involved in content
  • General ideation
  • Weekly meetings with the marketing manager and wider marketing team to discuss ideas, account analytics and other feedback
  • Follow clear targets for content production and account growth
  • Maintaining communication with the social media, retail, and stock teams
  • Be up to date with current TikTok and Instagram trends
  • Interacting with our online community through comments and DMs
  • Great organisational skills and time management
  • Meeting deadlines, particularly for content ideation and production
  • Work independently, within our Notting Hill store, upholding professional conduct standards
  • Brainstorm ideas and propose new content concepts to keep engagement high
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritise content based on deadlines
  • Manage social media accounts including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest
  • Be adaptable to a fast-paced store environment

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Sharing a proposed weekly content calendar with the marketing manager
  • Participating in meetings with the social media team and marketing manager
  • Filming content according to deadlines
  • Posting Instagram stories
  • Editing content according to deadlines
  • Sending completed content for approval
  • Posting/scheduling content
