What's the role?

The Social Media and Content Manager, UK, coordinates content creation and implementation across Etsy’s UK market. This role develops locally vibrant content strategies that represent the UK market while aligning with Etsy’s global social media strategy, brand voice, and values. The person identifies key opportunities and social tactics to grow Etsy’s local social following in the UK, increasing awareness and deepening buyer and seller connections.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Core Channels and Campaigns. Compensation includes salary, equity, an annual performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits supporting you and your family at Etsy.

Team Overview

The Organic Social Media Team creates content and strategies for Etsy’s owned social channels. As part of the Brand Marketing team, we focus on engaging content and storytelling to foster brand love among buyers.

Daily Responsibilities

  1. Develop content and creative for Etsy UK’s Meta (Instagram and Facebook) accounts, including content creation, sourcing UGC, video editing, and copywriting, ensuring alignment with Etsy’s brand voice and visual identity.
  2. Adapt global campaigns to the UK market, ensuring consistency with Etsy’s brand strategy.
  3. Define local social strategies based on audience insights and marketplace lifecycle.
  4. Analyze and report social media metrics regularly, highlighting key insights and opportunities.
  5. Manage paid media campaigns on Meta channels.
  6. Collaborate with sellers and creators to ensure social media partnerships meet standards and goals.
  7. Work with the video production team on content concepts and edits, staying current with social trends.
  8. Stay informed on digital marketing trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.

Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Desired Qualities

  • 4+ years of success in organic social media engagement, content creation, and channel management.
  • Deep understanding of UK and European markets.
  • Basic video editing skills (concepting, filming, editing).
  • Expertise with Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook).
  • Proficient in marketing copywriting with social media vernacular.
  • Strong aesthetic sense; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is a plus.
  • Innovative thinking for campaigns and content.
  • Ability to analyze data and adapt strategies dynamically.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in creating and optimizing paid campaigns.
