Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Sociology, Psychology, and Social Science graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants in a Hounslow secondary school.

This term-time role offers Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily pay of £108 and a September 2026 start date. You will support pupils at risk of underachievement, address SEMH needs, and work with pastoral and SEN staff to enable consistent access to learning.

Qualifications

• 1:1 and small-group mentoring for vulnerable pupils
• Supporting emotional regulation, self-control, and positive behaviour
• Working with students with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
• A specific focus on working with children with mild learning difficulties
• Developing independence by teaching life skills, decision-making, and self-advocacy
• Building key skills such as communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving
• Mentoring pupils to improve attendance, punctuality, and engagement

Responsibilities

• This role focuses on supporting students at risk of underachievement, persistent absence, or exclusion.
• You will work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and teaching staff to help students regulate emotions, rebuild trust, and access learning in a consistent and supportive way.
