Job Description:

What you’ll be doing

The role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of BT Group's social impact programs for BDUK, with an emphasis on identifying key project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. Responsibilities will be shared with a peer across six main workstreams in various UK regions:

  • Empower small businesses in England to offer apprenticeships.
  • Support local schools in preparing students for the workforce.
  • Accelerate growth and skill development for small businesses.
  • Enhance employability and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people.
  • Improve digital skills for individuals over 55.
  • Coordinate with Openreach teams for pop-up events promoting local initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with key regional leads in Openreach and BT Group to align deliverables with broader regional narratives, showcasing our work as needed.
  • Identifying external stakeholders in local authorities and relevant organizations to raise awareness and encourage participation in our programs.
  • Creating and managing comprehensive communication plans to promote our programs and maximize reputational benefits.
  • Supporting continuous improvements to enhance program efficiency and impact.
  • Partnering with volunteering leads, CFU leads, and internal communication teams to promote volunteer opportunities for BT Group colleagues.
  • Designing and delivering pop-up events in each program region to raise awareness of our social impact initiatives, in collaboration with community partners.
  • Working closely with the Social Impact Partnership Manager and providing coverage when required.
