Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator for void social housing properties in Swindon. This long-term contract offers a salary of £30,000–£32,000 per year, plus a van, fuel card and 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

You will cover void domestic properties and travel between sites in the Swindon area. The role requires good painting experience, preferably with social housing exposure, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Good painting experience.
• Previous experience working within social housing.
• NVQ in Painting is desirable.
• Good attitude.
• Honest and reliable.
• Full UK driving license.
• DBS will be done for successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance work on void domestic properties.
• Painting and decorating.
• Stripping wallpaper.
• Prepping walls.
• Some external painting work possibly.
• Working alongside other trades.
• Reporting to the supervisor on progress.
• Travelling to different sites in Swindon area in the work van.
