Job description

The Social Content Creator will be a hands‑on creator responsible for producing distinctive, platform‑native content that brings FitFlop’s brand, product, creator and community stories to life across social channels. Working closely with social media, Community & Advocacy, Brand and wider Creative teams, the role will create fast, relevant and engaging content across planned brand moments, creator and community activity and reactive cultural opportunities. It will combine strong creative craft with the ability to concept, shoot, edit and deliver content at pace.

This is a role for someone immersed in social culture and excited by how content creation is evolving. Success requires curiosity, experimentation and comfort working in the grey, responding quickly to opportunities, trying new formats and tools, and balancing brand quality with the immediacy and authenticity required by social platforms.

The Responsibilities
Social-First Content Creation
  • Concept, shoot, edit and deliver high-quality social-first content across FitFlop’s priority platforms.
  • Create short-form video, photography, lo-fi and other platform-native content across planned and reactive opportunities.
  • Translate agreed brand, product, community and commercial priorities into engaging social content.
  • Adapt existing creative assets where appropriate while creating original content where a more native social response is required.
Ideas & Creative Execution
  • Concept and execute trend-responsive, platform-native content within agreed social and creative priorities.
  • Contribute ideas, references and emerging formats to the wider social content pipeline.
  • Respond quickly to creator activity, community moments, social trends and cultural opportunities.
  • Bring a strong understanding of different platform behaviours, aesthetics and content conventions into execution.
  • Experiment with new formats and creative approaches, learning from audience response and performance.
Social, Community & Creative Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Social Content Manager and Social Media Manager to understand content priorities, channel needs and audience response.
  • Partner with Community & Advocacy teams to capture and amplify creators, ambassadors, community activity, UGC, events and relevant cultural moments.
  • Work within the creative direction, framework and standards set by the Creative Director, ensuring content feels recognisably FitFlop while remaining authentic and native to the platform.
  • Collaborate flexibly across Creative, Social, Brand, Growth, Digital and local-market teams as opportunities require.
Performance & Optimisation
  • Use audience response and content performance to understand what is working and improve future output.
  • Make practical recommendations on formats, edits and creative approaches based on platform learning.
  • Maintain useful raw-content libraries that allow strong assets to be adapted and repurposed across channels.
  • Support the adaptation of successful content for organic, paid and wider digital use where relevant.
Global Culture, Innovation & Ways of Working
  • Stay closely connected to social culture, global creators, visual trends, emerging platforms and changing audience behaviour.
  • Explore AI, editing tools and new creative technologies that can improve speed, quality and creative possibility.
  • Work confidently in a fast-moving environment where priorities and opportunities can change quickly.
  • Take responsibility for delivery, solving practical problems and maintaining momentum without needing every detail to be predetermined.
  • Bring ideas and opportunities proactively rather than waiting for fully developed briefs.
The Person
  • Hands-on experience creating social-first content for a consumer, fashion, lifestyle or culturally relevant brand.
  • Confident concepting, shooting and editing short-form video, photography and other platform-native content.
  • Strong creative eye and a good understanding of how content needs to adapt across different social platforms.
  • Culturally connected and genuinely interested in social behaviour, creators, visual culture and emerging formats.
  • Digitally curious, with an active interest in AI, new platforms, editing tools and evolving creative technology.
  • Proactive and resourceful, comfortable generating ideas as well as responding to briefs.
  • Comfortable working in the grey and adapting quickly when priorities or opportunities change.
  • Highly collaborative and happy working across Creative, Social, Community and wider Brand teams.
  • Interested in performance and audience response and how these can improve creative output.
  • Organised and personally accountable, able to balance planned content with fast-moving reactive opportunities.
