Job summary

Digital Waffle is hiring a Social Media & Content Marketing Lead to own brand storytelling across social channels and drive on-site growth. You’ll be the first marketing hire, with direct access to founders and ownership of brand voice, content creation, and go-live site launches.

You’ll build and star in short-form content, tell clear stories, and adapt tone for TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This role is London-based, onsite, with real impact on audience growth and revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience owning social media as a creator-first function with measurable growth.
• Comfortable being on camera, presenting and editing daily.
• Strong writing and storytelling without jargon.
• Willing to be on site at live sites and move fast in a startup.
• Commercial awareness across brand and funnel.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the brand’s social presence across TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Create and star in short-form content: be on camera, tell the story, film and edit daily, and build audience traction.
• Shape the brand voice and visual direction from scratch as the first marketing hire.
• Own the narrative framing the business as a tech-forward company in a traditional industry.
• Launch new sites with go-live plans covering staff/student comms and first-week momentum.
• Drive app downloads, footfall and repeat spend across live sites via online campaigns and on-site activity.
• Turn site wins into case studies to support future contracts.
• Measure reach against site revenue and brand impact.
