Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Social Care Worker to help older people in a care home. The role leads a team to support vulnerable adults in a residential setting, with contracts for day and overnight care.

Job description

As a Social Care Worker your main job is to help older people living in the care home.

This post is responsible for leading a team to support vulnerable adults within a residential setting. We are looking for 1 member of staff to join our dynamic team on contracts for day and overnight care and support. You must have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, follow instructions, and possess good communication skills.

You must be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure. You must hold a minimum of SVQ level 2 in Social Care or equivalent (minimum required for registration with SSSC), a commitment to achieve SVQ 3 on Social Care.
