Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Social Care Worker to help older people in a care home. The role leads a team to support vulnerable adults in a residential setting, with contracts for day and overnight care.

You should work well in a team or alone, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in demanding situations. Applicants must have SVQ level 2 in Social Care (or equivalent) and commit to achieving SVQ 3.

Qualifications

• Minimum SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent (minimum for registration with SSSC).
• Commitment to achieve SVQ 3 in Social Care.

Responsibilities

• To administer mediation as prescribed.
• Be able to take responsibility as a key worker and create person centered care plans for service users.
• To contribute to the planning, monitoring and recording of service delivery.
