Derbyshire County Council is hiring a part-time Social Care Practitioner (18.5 hours) for the Amber Valley Occupational Therapy team. The role covers the South of the County with a focus on enabling adults to maximise independence through strength-based, holistic assessments.
You will work within a supportive team, with supervision from OT managers and Senior Practitioners, and will have access to flexible/hybrid working, ongoing training, and generous annual leave.

We are seeking to recruit a part time permanent social care practitioner based in the Amber Valley long term Occupational Therapy team covering the South of the County. We have an experienced management team who are committed to good support, advice, supervision, and a nurturing team ethos.
You will be supported in your role by a wider network of Occupational Therapists including a dedicated Occupational Therapy service manager and dedicated Occupational Therapy senior practitioners.
As part of our Adult Care Team, you will be required to take a strength-based approach to deliver a proportionate, personalised, safe and sustainable response for local adults, their carers, and families.
A positive approach to risk taking, personal resilience and the ability to contribute to inter agency and multi-disciplinary approaches both across the council and in other statutory bodies are key to this role.
