Job summary

Fynity in Farnborough seeks a SOC Shift Lead to manage a team protecting critical Aero, Defence, and Security systems. You’ll mentor analysts, triage incidents, and analyze logs across multiple clients using SIEM tools. DV clearances are relevant and you’ll work with cutting-edge security tech.

Role emphasizes leadership, threat detection, and close collaboration with clients. Strong scripting skills and CREST/SOC certs are a bonus. On-site position with day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a SOC team and mentoring analysts.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar SIEM.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and threat-informed defence.
• DV eligible – sole British national.

SOC Shift Lead - Cyber

Location: Farnborough
Shifts: 2 Days (6am-6pm), 2 Nights (6pm-6am), 4 Days Off
DV eligible: Sole British national

Want to lead a SOC team protecting critical Aero, Defence, and Security systems? This is your chance to run the show, shape analysts' careers, and work with cutting‑edge tech across multiple clients.

Due to the nature of the work you must be ellagble and willing to undergo DV Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of SOC Analysts.
• Monitor, triage, and investigate security incidents on critical infrastructure.
• Analyse logs, network traffic, and system events to spot threats.
• Improve detection rules, play with MITRE ATT&CK, and make the SOC smarter.
• Represent the SOC in meetings and client discussions.

Qualifications

• Solid SOC experience and people management chops.
• Hands‑on with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar.
• Strong networking, server, and security fundamentals.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and threat‑informed defence.
• DV eligible – sole British national.
• Bonus points: malware analysis, scripting (Python, PowerShell), CREST or SOC certs, QRadar experience.
