Job summary

Certes Computing Ltd. is seeking Senior SOC Analysts/Shift Leads with current DV clearance for a government client in Milton Keynes. The role involves operational leadership of security monitoring, investigations and escalations in a 24x7 SOC environment.

Shifts are 12 hours on a rotating pattern, with ASAP start. Candidates should have DV clearance, strong SIEM and incident response skills, and experience mentoring staff.

Qualifications

Senior SOC Analysts/Shift Leads (DV Cleared)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Milton Keynes

Rate: £70.00 - £75.00 per hour

IR35 Status: Inside

Role Overview:

We require a number of Senior SOC Analysts/Shift Leads who possess current DV Clearance for our our Government client to be responsible for the operational leadership of the security monitoring function, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality security monitoring, investigation and escalation activities across a 24x7x365 SOC environment.

This role will involve working 12 hours shifts on a rotating shift pattern.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

Current DV Level Security Clearance *essential*

Possess skills and knowledge in the areas listed below:

Cyber security operations

Forensics

Incident management, incident investigation and response

Information risk assessment and risk management

Intrusion detection analysis:

Protective security

Secure operations management

Threat intelligence and threat assessment

Threat understanding: Practitioner

In addition you will possess demonstrable experience working within a SOC or comparable cyber security operations environment, together with experience leading security monitoring activities and supervising analysts during live operational service.

Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms, log analysis, security monitoringtechnologiesand security event investigation.

SIEM platforms experience eg: Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm or equivalent.

Experience investigating complex cyber security events and determiningappropriate escalationpaths.

Good understanding ofcyber-attacktechniques, indicators of compromise, threatintelligenceand defensive monitoring.

Experience in mentoring or coaching technical staff within an operational environment.

Excellent analytical,investigativeand problem-solving skills.

Ability to maketimelydecisions within a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment.

Professional certifications such as Microsoft SC-200, GIAC GCIH, GCIA, CompTIACySA+ or equivalent.

Any knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK or equivalent is desirable.
