Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join its Security team. You will monitor security events, analyse incidents, and help protect critical infrastructure across multiple UK sites.

This role requires on-site presence at Cheltenham, Ipswich, Manchester or London and may involve DV clearance. You will operate in a SOC, configure SIEM dashboards and alerts, and collaborate with Security Operations and Incident response teams.

Qualifications

• Cyber threat intelligence awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operating within a SOC to monitor, identify, analyse and respond to security threats.
• Incident detection, reporting, initial analysis/investigation and prioritisation.
• Implementation and support of SIEM configuration - dashboards, rules, alerts, watchlists and reports.
• Utilising security technologies to enhance threat detection (Firewall, Anti-Virus, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS).
• Implementing and maintaining SOC processes (Playbooks).
