Legal & General (L&G) is seeking a Support Engineer to keep data services running smoothly. You will join a collaborative team responsible for the Snowflake data warehouse, DBT, and Azure technology, tackling pipeline issues and helping colleagues access accurate data.

Applicants should have practical Snowflake experience, solid SQL skills, and a background in a support environment. Azure Data Factory experience is beneficial, with a focus on clear communication and proactive incident management.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake data warehouse and pipelines.
• Good working knowledge of DBT tooling and data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write efficient queries.
• Experience in a support or service desk environment is preferred.
• Effective troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Clear, approachable communication and ability to explain technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor scheduled ETL jobs and data ingestion pipelines.
• Confirm data loads successfully into Snowflake.
• Investigate pipeline failures and coordinate resolutions.
• Respond to incidents and service requests from internal users.
• Troubleshoot missing, incomplete or inconsistent data.
• Support users with Snowflake queries and best practices.
• Communicate progress and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Prioritise issues in a fast-paced support environment.
