Job summary

Legal & General in the United Kingdom is seeking a Support Engineer to help keep data services running smoothly. You’ll join a collaborative support team responsible for our Snowflake data warehouse, investigating pipeline issues and helping colleagues access accurate data they need.

This role involves working with Snowflake, DBT, SQL and Azure data tools in a varied environment where troubleshooting and clear communication are valued.

Responsibilities

• Monitor scheduled ETL jobs and data ingestion pipelines.
• Confirm data loaded successfully into Snowflake.

• Respond to incidents and service requests from internal colleagues.
• Troubleshoot missing, incomplete or inconsistent data.
• Support technical and non-technical users with Snowflake queries.
• Communicate progress and solutions clearly to stakeholders.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Support Engineer to help keep our data services running smoothly. You’ll join a collaborative support team responsible for our Snowflake data warehouse, investigating pipeline issues, responding to internal queries and helping colleagues access the accurate data they need.

This is an opportunity to work with Snowflake, DBT, SQL and Azure technology in a varied environment where your troubleshooting and communication skills will be equally valued. We welcome candidates from different backgrounds who can demonstrate the relevant skills, even if they do not meet every desirable requirement.

What you'll be doing:

• Monitoring scheduled ETL jobs and data ingestion pipelines
• Confirming that data has loaded successfully into Snowflake
• Investigating pipeline failures and coordinating timely resolutions

• The ability to remain organised and make sound decisions under pressure
• Experience of Azure Data Factory or the wider Azure ecosystem would be beneficial
