Job summary

Hiscox UK is hiring a Customer Sales Representative / Insurance Expert in Colchester or York. You will build relationships with SME customers, identify insurance needs, and propose tailored solutions while meeting sales and service targets.

Training spans five weeks, followed by academy sessions to strengthen product knowledge and system proficiency. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a starting salary of £25,000 and potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in a customer-facing environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills are essential.
• Able to identify and discuss sales opportunities with SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Sell business insurance to SME customers by understanding their needs and offering suitable solutions.
• Cross-sell and up-sell across our commercial product range.
• Handle inbound calls, outbound callbacks, email and webchat; meet targets balancing sales, quality and service.
• Develop expertise in Hiscox products and IT systems to explain information clearly.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other contact centre teams.
