Job summary

You will negotiate terms, advise on policies, and build strong insurer relationships, aiming to expand the client base while meeting FCA requirements and internal processes. Hybrid working is available.

Are you a Commercial Account Handler wanting to step up into an Account Executive role or an Insurance Sales Executive looking to build your own book?

A national specialist Insurance group is looking to recruit an SME Account Executive who is sales and customer focused, to join their team in Plymouth.

You'll be responsible for the development and growth of your own portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• Interaction with prospects and clients to collect and collate information in respect of new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments
• Preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers and suppliers
• Overseeing the broking of risks to insurers and suppliers
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium and income
• Provide advice to clients and prospects on current insurance policies and additional insurance products for consideration
• Process new business, renewal and mid-term adjustments efficiently, effectively and in accordance with FCA and internal procedures
• Check all documentation for accuracy before issuing to clients or appropriate parties
• Maintain accurate client and prospect records
• Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects

Key Skills/Experience Required:

To be considered for the SME Account Executive opportunity, you will have the following experience:

• Relevant commercial insurance broking industry experience.
• Desire to win new business, while managing renewals and MTA's
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Confident in creating compelling market insurance presentations
• Pro-active and self-motivated
